Alright… went to the local sub shop for lunch. Used to go all the time until I moved closer to work. The owner’s a great guy, Badger basketball fan, so I didn’t mind dropping $20-$30 a week.

So I go in today and they have a new (well, new to me) worker. The guy in front of me orders his sandwich, and she starts to cut the bread open… then ever-so-smoothly slices through her finger right along with the bread. Yum! To my amazement, she finished making the guys sandwich without changing gloves or washing her hands.

So I’m up…

She goes and washes her hands, comes back and puts new gloves on. Ok. I can still see the blood… and I’m assuming that these gloves aren’t doctor-quality latex. So I carefully watch to make sure that part of her hand doesn’t come close to the sandwich. Though my stomache was in knots, I made it through.

Then…

After finishing the sandwich, I realized I didn’t see if she changed knives.

I think I’m sick.
