The (Gas) Price of Katrina
Bad news people. As most of you have probably noticed, gas prices have skyrocketed today $.20 (Madison, WI). The gas station insiders are saying that another raise of $.70 tomorrow is not out of the question. I’ve heard that a station in Milwaukee is unable to obtain regular unleaded as of today.
If gas prices go up almost a full dollar within a 2-day span… I can just imagine the hystaria. I mean, people aleady are freaking out and it’s gone up a buck this year… 9 months… let’s compress that to two days, then double it. Wonderful.
Why has this happened? Is it REALLY because refineries were damaged in the south? Who frickin knows. But it’s rediculous. I’d love to hear peoples opinions about this before it’s too late….
