The Supernatural X-File

“Supernatural” debuted on the WB last week starring Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles. These two play brothers who take on their absent-dad’s obsession with defeating supernatural “creatures.”

Some say it’s like a ghostly version of the Hardy Boys… I think of it as almost X-Files like… they seem to take “fact-based” accounts of actual creatures, create a story around them, then have the boys defeat whatever it is. It’s spooky to me… I like it.

Their overall mission is to find their father, who dissappeared tracking down something or another… trying to find out why his wife died 20 years ago. So, along the way, all these other little freak stories pop up.

It’s a lot of fun, and though I’m not one to follow advice when it comes to TV, it’s worth a look so you can decide for yourself.

WB – Tuesday nights at 9/8 Central right after Gilmore Girls.
