Well, I’ll be…
I had used the Opera browser for a couple years religiously (the ad-supported version) and just recently, they released Opera as a completely free, no-ads version.
I switched to Firefox a in December of 2004, and haven’t looked back since. I do, however, miss the integrated email client in Opera… it was very good for a browser email client. Allowed me to check many POP3 accounts from an alternate location when I was away from Outlook.
I don’t think I’ll actually switch back to Opera, now that I like Firefox so much… but I’ll definitly check out the “new” free program and see what happens…
EDIT:
I’ve noticed that ielliott.com displays funny in Opera. That’s what you get when you design a site to standards, which Firefox uses… but then have to use an additional CSS file for Internet Explorer (which Opera is also having to use) because IE destroys standards code so completely. It’ll be interesting to see how much “better” IE7 will be.
Sorry for the display problems if you’re using Opera…. all I can say, is stick with Firefox!
