Brilliance Never Sleeps

Genius struck at 2:09am on December 7, 2005. I’ve been racking around ideas for a new website… one that will be both a benefit and release to potentially millions of worldwide visitors… and now the goal is clear.

What is it?

Sorry, you won’t hear about it on here for a while yet. But I can tell you this: it could solve the world’s problems. Over the next month or two, I’ll be putting together an execution plan to get the site built. Preliminarily, I see the site being in Alpha testing by summer, and prehaps released to the general public as early as next fall. This is because much of the technology needed for the site I have in mind already exsists, making the development process less buggy.

I’ve decided on designing the site myself, looking for a programmer who might want to partner on the idea – and if that doesn’t work, hiring a 3rd party to develop the core system, then hiring 3rd parties to develop add-ons and improvements as-needed. Minor fixes I’ll be able to do myself.

Cool New Sites

Some recent websites I’ve started using…
Planzo.com
Planzo is a web-based calendar. It’s free and fairly rich in features. It emails you every morning with your schedule for the day, which I love. I was considering using my old iPaq as a calendar, but I’m almost always at a computer, so this tool is lovely. I also like the fact that: a; I can put a little script in my page to show you my upcoming schedule, and b; that it’s written by a couple of ordinary guys – not some wanna-be company with millions already invested in it. They also seem to be adding features fairly quickly…

Writeboard.com
Writeboard is simply a free online word processor that allows you to create, edit, and share documents. For instance, I’m going to be keeping a password-protected file outlining the development of this new site idea. Anyone I involve in the project will be able to see this, edit it, etc.
