So Tuesday night I was courtside for the Badgers / Illinois game. Disappointing to say the least, especially since I had been fighting a fever since mid-afternoon. Shooting 35% from the floor didn’t help knock the shivers out of me. Anyway, Bucky is still grasping for an ounce of luck to pull out a quality win.

Being on the road at Purdue won’t help much…

Even though Purdue is 1-7 in the Big 10, playing at Mackey Arena is always tough, and the Badgers are playing poorly as it is. It won’t be an easy win.

And to the point of my post… Heather and I are taking a road trip tomorrow to see the game. We have real good seats, 12 rows off the floor - almost center court from what I can tell. We’ll leave in the morning, check in to our nice hotel, relax and change for the game… probably take a cab the 1.5 miles over to the arena.

On Sunday, we’ll hopefully go shopping, catch a movie, have dinner, see a museum, and watch the Super Bowl. hahaha… yeah right. Those are all things we talked about doing, but we’ll end up waking up late, getting breakfast, walking past some local shops, then sitting in a bar for the game.

Monday afternoon we’ll make the 4 and a half hour drive back. We both have Tuesday off as well to “recoup” from the much needed break from day-to-day “stuff.” I’m looking forward to all of it.
