It was a crazy day today. Luckily, this weekend went really well - Friday Mandi and I went and had fish fry, Saturday my dad had his first cook-out of the summer and Mandi and I were there to hang out on the deck, then on Sunday we went to her mom's and I met her best friend, brother and his wife, and her mom. It was a long trek, but made it all the way up into Illinois last night before finding a hotel. We had about 5 hours left today and I was back in town around 1pm. I'm glad I'm home... now to just unpack, unwind, and try not to think about going back to work tomorrow...

We're on highway 24 just out of Tenessee and on our way through the bluegrass state! It's been a long day, though. Up at 3:30am Central time and left a few minutes later after goodbyes with the grandparents. I have been able to take a couple brief naps, so that's helped. My goal is to make it to Champaigne, IL tonight around 9 and get a hotel. ...

Just had a fish fry with over a hundred 80 year olds. Funny stuff. I can't even begin to imagine the things I'm going to be talking about in 50 years. I can only hope it's as entertaining. The rest of the day will consist of relaxing, raw beef sandwiches, and an early bedtime to get up at 4am and hit the road. Talk at ya tomarrow!

This morning I'm finishing packing and then off to Florida. I'll get there this evening, spend tomorrow with the grandparents soaking up some sun, and then leaving early Sunday morning to drive back with my aunt Tess. I'll write from the road though, if for nothing else as a way to pass time. I already miss my new girlfriend, Mandi... see you Monday... :)

Had a great night with Kimberly and Justin last night. Stayed in their guest room, got up early and the sun is out! I'm looking forward to seeing the brother and sister today... But looking forward to my Sunday night even more... Hope everyone finds something to enjoy today!

I'm heading to Chippewa tonight after work (after I stop home because, of course, I forgot things)... It's 50 degrees and not a cloud in the sky! I can't wait to crank up the radio and pop the sun roof open! I'm out of here... sorry so short....
