It’s hard to believe it’s that time of year again.  Tonight marks the beginning of the Badger basketball season with the annual steak fry on the Kohl Center floor.  Typically you’ll see highlights from last year on the big screen, there will be a guest speak, the players will be introduced, and Bo will speak to the crowd.  Oh, and of course, we’ll eat steak.

It’s a good time, if for nothing else than just to get into the spirit of the game and the team again.

Friday night will be their first practice – open to the public.  You’ll find a slam dunk and 3-point contest going on, as well as some other fun things.  It’s also nice to see the players actually work a little bit for the first time.  A week and half later will be the red/white scrimmage where a full "game" is played between two halves of the team.

Then the real fun starts… we’re young this year, which will keep it interesting.  I can’t wait!
