So Tuesday night I was courtside for the Badgers / Illinois game. Disappointing to say the least, especially since I had been fighting a fever since mid-afternoon. Shooting 35% from the floor didn't help knock the shivers out of me. Anyway, Bucky is still grasping for an ounce of luck to pull out a quality win.
Being on the road at Purdue won't help much...
Even though ...

The future of the 2006 Badgers looks good - if you wait to look at them until next November. I just think the second half of the season is stacked too high against them.
With the mid-way mark of the current season coming up over the next 2 days, I thought I'd take a look at some of the top teams, and their possible Big Ten records at ...

Within a matter of weeks, the Badgers basketball team has lost redshirt-freshman DeAaron Williams, freshman star Marcus Landry, and sophomore big-man Greg Stiemsma - all due to academic reasons. Since the time that all three players have been out, the Badgers have gone 1-3 and are about to head into a match up with #7 Illinois on Tuesday.
Although it's 1:30AM right now and I'm working off a ...

"So I'm here to let you guys know up front that I'm ineligible. Most guys probably wouldn't get in front of the camera and tell everybody that, 'Hey, I'm ineligible.' But I'm looking forward to helping my team in any way that I can while I'm not playing."
I commend Marcus for standing up and telling the public that he's ineligible. It really had to be humiliating to ...

Breaking News. Just moments ago, the UW Athletic Department released news that Greg Stiemsma is taking a leave of absence from the team for personal medical reasons. Also, Marcus Landry was declared ineligible for the game tonight at Ohio State. Neither player traveled with the team.
One could speculate that Marcus didn't make the grades - but second semester just started - so if it was ...

The Badgers beat Minnesota tonight 64-62 to go to 3-0 in the Big Ten conference (first time since 1962??) with the help of Freshman, Joe Krabbenhoft. Besides shutting down Vincent Grier, Minnesota's star player, for a good portion of the game, Joe had 6 points, 8 rebounts and 4 assists including two huge free throws and a big rebound/jump-ball at the end of the game to secure ...

Somebody has to say something. Somebody has to stop it from happening again. We have one week until our Big Ten home opener, and we have to rise up and take control of our image. If we don't, who will?
UW Band member, Erin Taylor, a flugelhorn player, has been singing The Star Spangled Banner a lot this year. Before I go on, let me ...

Saturday was an early Badger game... 12 noon. My brother, Derek, finally made it down for a game! It was good to see him. I still have trouble figuring out how it got so smart. Very factually smart - like how many litres to a ton kind of smart. Do tons break down into litres? I don't know... he would though.
So, the ...

WISCONSIN BADGERS @ WAKE FOREST
The anticipation of this game is killing me, so I had to start writing before the game starts in case I lose my enthusiasm... I thought I'd write a little at each commercial if anything is worthy of news.
I've had a knot in my stomach all day today like I was about to get on a plane and play a big nationally televised game... ...

The anticipation of Thanksgiving weekend was high this year. I had taken an extra day off of work, was driving up to Chippewa to my mom's, coming back to Madison for another dinner on Friday, then had a couple of days to relax...
I ended up sick Tuesday night, the night before I was to leave. It's Sunday night as I write this and I'm just getting over ...
